Well what on earth has gone on with Councillor Simon Blackburn??
The leader of Blackpool Council has reportedly been suspended from the Labour Party over a ‘serious allegation’.
Councillor Simon Blackburn has stepped down as the leader of the council while an investigation takes place.
It is not yet clear what the serious allegation is, however Councillor Blackburn ‘vehemently denies’ it, reports the BBC a former children’s social worker, and the former Deputy Chief Executive of a Blackpool supported housing charity.
