The protest is regards to the injustice of what is happening In America to the black community, not just in the USA but also in our own country in the UK and across the world. The event set up on Facebook has been shared across social media and alot are expected. This will be happening between 1pm and 3pm. The organisers have put the following and are asking people to respect what they have put in place.

This is an event to stand in solidarity and come together to speak out on the injustice of what is happening to the black community, not just in the USA but also in our own country in the UK and across the world.

This is A SAFE DISTANCED AND PEACEFUL PROTEST. I know people may have concerns with the current Covid-19 pandemic, this is why the location is in an open area with room to practice and adhere to social distancing. This protest is also peaceful.

Across the UK and globe people are showing their support and peacefully protesting to show they stand with the black community and against the oppression and police brutality they face. Blackpool is such a diverse place and coming together to support, stand up and against racism is taking a step forward in the right direction.

For anyone unable to attend but wishes to help, I shall make a post with links to the Black Lives Matter charity and to other support/donation pages.
